Submitted by Steve Cohn, Apr 17, 2006 One good practical joke concerns Richie Fortin, John Finlayson, Tony Santos, and myself. Smoking was permitted just about anywhere in the building. At one point Rich put together a long series of soda straws and carefully inserted it into the back of the master control switcher basin and calmly lit up a cigarette while John was operating the evening's prime-time schedule. Every time Rich exhaled he did so into the straw, and after a few good puffs, smoke started to permeate through the switcher panel. John panicked and pushed himself away fast thinking we were on fire and shouting! |
