Submitted by: Bob Neary, Feb 16, 2010 One afternoon, we were in the middle of commercial production when a loud boom of thunder shook the building. Soon we could hear the sound of rain pounding on the roof of the station. Ron James was running audio. At the second clap of thunder and the rising sound of the pounding rain, he rushed out of the audio booth, yelled something about leaving his windows open and that he had to go close them. I thought he meant his car windows, and figured we could afford a five minute break. When he came back about an hour or so later, he explained that it was his house windows he had left open. His house was about a half-hour drive from the station. |
