Lee Tanner left WTEV and came out to California, working as a manufacturing manager at Grass Valley Group.That would have been in the early to mid 80's. He retired from there, bought a fifth-wheel trailer and he and his wife, Irene, travelled the country for a couple of years. They settled in St. George, Utah for a short time them moved to Phoenix (or close by). Lee was from from Carbondale, a small town outside of Scranton, Pennsylvania (Vance's home town) and Lee and his wife Irene had retired to Sun City West in Maricopa, Arizona some years ago, so it seems fairly certain that this is WTEV's Lee Tanner. from Linda Creed Jan 20, 2008 I'm Lee Tanner's daughter, Linda. My family and I happened across the WTEV archive last December. About the same time, we scanned an old article from the Standard Times that was written after we moved to Buzzards Bay in what must have been November 1962. I see in the article that my brother was referred to as Brooks Junior, his name is really Brooks Jay. I've attached the scanned article to this e-mail. I remember some of the people form WTEV, and enjoyed reading through the archive as did my brother and mother. So many memories... I'll see if I have a photo of Dad that I can scan as well so that there's another picture of him. |
