Stories We Heard
from Bob Neary, March 16, 2010

"Hey Mike, on my way into the station, I noticed your car in the parking lot --- and your left front wheel seems a little out of round." I called out as I entered the station on afternoon. Actually, it was tilted at an almost 45 degree angle relative to the axle. I was surprised he could even drive on it. It looked like it would fall off on the first turn.

"What happened to it?," I finished.

"Ah....," he said: "I hit a curb..."

"Hit a curb?... " I asked increduously.

"Yeah, was doin' about 90mph......." he said sheepishly and turned away.

I remember him very definitely as the one putting a necktie on his dog, and parading it around the station on paydays.

He could figure electronics out.... but he had his own style....and timing..... If you were patient, he would eventually get things going.
