From Bob Neary, Aug 22, 2023 Peter passed away earlier this summer. Peter served in Vietnam as chief combat photographer for the 101st Airborne Division. Later on, while working in Saudi Arabia, he was commissioned to paint portraits of the Royal Family. Peter and his family finally settled on Cape Cod where he had strong family ties. There he pursued his dream of painting full-time. Peter's painting is known regionally, nationally and internationally. He has his own galleries in Nantucket,MA, Naples, FL and Westport, CT. From Bob Neary, Feb 16, 2010 Peter was the ultimate professional -- an excellent photographer and film camera man. Many an afternoon, I'd see him coming out of the film processing room -- with the film processing machine running loudly in the background, "How's it goin', Pete?" He'd kinda just smile and look up at the ceiling. Was glad that I wasn't alone in those many moments when it seemed things were spinning totally out of control... Later worked with Peter overseas. Peter was also an excellent artist/painter. Believe he is still in New England somewhere, and concentrating on his artwork. | |

From Bob Neary, Aug 22, 2023 I was trying to reconnect with Peter last spring and sent him some snail mail. No response and I was really busy.. so did not follow up until this month. That's when I learned he had passed away this summer. Peter Quidley worked at WTEV in the mid 70s as photographer and cinematographer.
