Hello! I am the former "Chris Ponte" (Kris, for a change, LOL!!). After exactly 3 years at WTEV (March 15, 1972 to March 15, 1975), I was laid off. I altered my name (with Social Security knowledge, and approval), to honor my Scots heritage. Caristi'na (pronounced Car-iss-CHEE-nuh, due to that accent mark over the 2nd "i".) Seed is my married name. I returned to college, earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), and became a Psychiatric/Mental Health RN. I practiced in this general area for over 30 years; worked at the Fall River and New Bedford Crisis Centers, managed a large residential program, eventually bringing acute and chronic psych nursing programming into home care agencies. My husband's professional career (over 30 years) was in Wastewater Treatment (in MA, but out of this local area). Retired now, at 69 y/o, my husband and I live in our Dartmouth home with our Border Aussie dog, Finn. Our 3 children, all adults now, are well-educated professionals. We also have 2 grandsons. We are pro-recycling, and urge everyone to actively reuse, reclaim, recycle!! |

Stories We Heard from Bob Neary, Feb 16, 2010 I remember when Chris was going to save up all her money and buy WTEV ! Just about every day for 2 months she would mention it. Then she just stopped talking about it. (Didn't she used to have a purple AMC Gremlin? Or was it a Pacer ? I think it was purple? Not sure.) |
